MGMT 2500 - Operations Management

This course focuses on the decision-making role of the operations manager in transforming organizational inputs into desired outputs. The main areas of operations management - purchasing/supply chain, inventory, quality management and production - constitute on average 70-80 percent of the costs of a business. Therefore, they have a major impact on its competitiveness and profitability. The major issues and problems of designing, scheduling, operating and controlling the operation system (goods and services) are also examined.
